Activity designed to be as a first experience at sea which includes an introduction to the essentials of kayaking & paddling technique through a short guided tour along the Badalona coast. Ideal for all age groups, families with young children are welcome. Starts every Saturday at 10:00 from the Port of Badalona.
This is a shorter route than our more advanced level guided tours. We use beginner-friendly, closed cockpit sea kayaks that are a step towards professional touring sea kayaks. Wider 'sit-on-top' style double kayaks are offered for those who need extra stability or for parents who want to bring their children.
On our route we will be visiting:
• the 200 m tall Triple Chimneys of the former St. Adria power plant built in the early 1970s
• the concrete islet in front of the Triple Chimneys as the only remaining part of the once important industrial pier, now a resting point for cormorants and other marine birds
• the Pont del Petroli, a historic pier with large pillars that served as an embarking point for tanker ships that was in service until 1990
• the historic building of the 'Anis del Mono' distillery, famous for its emblematic chimpanzee as the brand's mascot
Discover the Badalona coast through its iconic landmarks and learn about the city's fascinating industrial past!
